Matt

My name is Matt and I am a fairly new computer engineer working in downtown Toronto. I have been interested in golf for many years now; however throughout my university days never really got the chance to play and progress in my abilities.

From my limited experience with golf, I’ve found it to be an enjoyable and relaxing activity because of its contrast to everyday life. Being on the course and surrounded with trees, seeing deer and beavers is somewhat more relaxing to me, knowing that only a mile away is the busy bustling city and here I am relaxing in this peaceful place playing a game on the grass with my friends.

I set a goal for myself that by the end of summer 2006, I will have at least learned the basics of the game and will be able to play comfortably without worrying if my shot will land in the bushes or not! I’ll be documenting my progress on this goal on this site and hopefully my mistakes and lessons learned will help others in the same situation – and perhaps give seasoned golfers a look at their game through fresh eyes.
